Xiaomi 17 is preparing to launch on the global market in January
After its unveiling in China back in September, the Xiaomi 17 has remained one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year — yet it still hasn’t made its way onto the global stage. While Xiaomi hasn’t released any official launch details, a new leak suggests that the wait may soon be over.
According to the tipster, the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 is expected to take place in January 2026. The device is also rumored to arrive in India around the same time, potentially making it one of the first major flagship releases of the new year.
Meanwhile, a Xiaomi device with the model number 25113PN0EC has appeared on Geekbench, and it’s widely believed to be the global variant of the Xiaomi 17. The listing shows the phone running Android 16, equipped with 12GB of RAM, and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The benchmark scores — 3,176 in single-core and 10,010 in multi-core — indicate strong flagship-class performance.
The global version is expected to mirror the Chinese model, featuring a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a triple 50MP rear camera setup, a 50MP front camera, and a large 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
If these leaks prove accurate, January 2026 could be an exciting start to the year for tech enthusiasts — and the Xiaomi 17 may well become one of the standout flagships of the season.
